Project Description

STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLAN & CONCEPTUAL LAND PLAN

Client: Agricenter International

Agricenter International operates a 1000-acre complex dedicated to agricultural research, economic development, education, conservation, and recreation. The organization retained CAS as part of a diverse strategic implementation team that included HR&A Advisors, Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, and Point A Consulting.

We helped Agricenter to assess its current direction and future positioning within the wider context of industry-wide trends. The engagement resulted in a Strategic Business Plan & Conceptual Master Plan to guide the organization’s evolution to take on a much greater role in promoting agriculturally-focused economic development throughout the Mid-South Region and Tennessee, with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. The Conceptual Master Plan calls for ambitious new development of the campus that supports Agricenter’s new project objectives, to strengthen the user experience and to make it a more competitive place for ag-related businesses.

“What I really loved about the Agricenter Project is that it perfectly encapsulates all of the things CAS bring to projects: the blend of old and new ways of thinking about ag; the unique ability to convert abstract concepts into a cohesive plan that will result in tangible, vertical development; and the value created by inclusively bringing together diverse groups of people around a common endeavor that we all can relate to on one level or another–food!” Co-Founder, Mark Scholl
